岩城Houseware的起源是明治16年所創立的"岩城硝子㈱",
是日本最初的民間特殊玻璃公司,從日本戰前到戰後,
長期提供特殊玻璃,為日本史上占有不可欠的地位.
且于昭和40年導入特殊玻璃世界的首把交椅美國的"Corning Incorporated "所提供的技術,
現在除了耐熱玻璃外,在理化医療用玻璃與光学薄膜等等的特殊分野也同樣生產各式製品.
